“Youth Perspective on Sustainable Development Goals : The Way Forward”

Climate change knows no borders. It will not stop before the Pacific Islands and the whole of the international community here has to shoulder a responsibility to bring about a sustainable development.

         As part of the world, youth also have responsibilities and rights to contribute to the realization of Global Goals as a key to transform our world into a better place to live in. As a youth capacity development platform, International Global Network has consistently put effort to arrange some programs that are relevant to today’s need for youth and for the better future of the world. The organization is eager to create a platform for an alliance between young leaders which will accommodate ideas from youth all over the countries Through the programs, youth leaders will get more perspectives from the world thus they will enhance more understanding about related issues.

To provide a better understanding of SDGs, known as Global Goals, International Global Network presents Global Goals Model United Nations (Global Goals MUN) 4.0. Global Goals MUN will provide MUN parliamentary based Councils with topics related to the 17 Global Goals set by the United Nations to encourage delegates to understand each point of SDGs, to share ideas among delegates, to network, and to improve their communication as well as diplomatic skill.

MUN: Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of United Nations where the participants play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real global issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. It is a “learning by doing” method of studying the United Nations.

Global Goals Model United Nations 4.0 with the theme “Youth Perspective in Sustainable Development Goals : The Way Forward”, is an evaluation of how youth’s perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and that is extremely vital to move forward in a rapidly changing world. We, global citizens progressed from the Millennium Development Goals to the 17 SDG’s and now it is time that we move further to look at what we would ideally like to have accomplished in the year 2030. Therefore, Global Goals Model United Nations 4.0 is the right place to deliver the most impactful idea in international stage to pursuing better Sustainable Development world.
