UNDP mandate is to eradicate poverty and help countries to develop strong policies, skills for youth and strengthen partnership to grasp good governance. Good governance is an essential root for achieving sustainable development goals. Good governance in principle and practice is foundationally about the processes for making and implementing decisions. It’s not only about making ‘correct’ decisions but also about the best possible process for making those decisions.

The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were adopted by the UN Member States reflect a framework in international development that has the potential to put the world on a more sustainable path and ensure a life of dignity for all.  For implementing the SDG, the member states of UNDP shall put more concern on how to improving role of government in completion to good governance.

Topic Committee : Unraveling The Challenges In Present Education

Education is a pillar in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda. By the fast-forward changing in the world we live in nowadays the challenges in education is became more variable. A growing number of countries are recognising the relevance of ‘brand new’ competences that needed in modern education such as : civic literacy, global awareness and cross-cultural skills – together with others including critical and inventive thinking, communication and collaboration. Among those competences there are amidst challenges in education that represent significant constraints on the adoption of technology in education. This year in GGMUN the delegates will discuss and should take into account what’s best for everyone on a global scale to unravel the challenges in education.

UNWTO (World Tourism Organization)

Topic Committee : Eradicating Slum Tourism

UNWTO aims to promote poverty alleviation through the provision of assistance to sustainable development projects. The initiative focuses on enhancing the Organization’s long standing work to encourage sustainable tourism – social, economic and ecological – with activities that specifically alleviate poverty, convey development and create jobs for fighting unemployment rate. The dark side of tourism is the growth of slum area in a city or nearby the tourism places, this new side of tourism has its own market. To answering the problem of slum tourism UNWTO must addressed holistically to this growing global problem.

UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council)

Topic Committee : Concerning Human Rights To End Rape Culture

The Human Rights Council is an inter-governmental body within the United Nations system responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations and make recommendations on them. For several years the liberal establishment has been pointing out that “rape culture” has made the surroundings as dangerous for women. This year in GGMUN, UNHRC are called upon to help restore the dignity of victims and will depth-discuss to end this issue.
